Virtual Models

MuPAD Graphics Beyond MuPAD

Fractal staircase

Overview

JavaView contains a number of tools that we can use to enhace our models or transform them to a form that cannot be obtained in any CAS. The objective of this section is to show what one can achieve in JavaView. However, examples displayed here show only a very small fraction of JavaView functionality.

Basic examples

  1. One hundred of points again (3D look added)
  2. One hundred of points again (3D look, all points merged in one object)
  3. One hundred of points again (3D look, all points merged in one object, XYZ colors)
  4. One hundred of points again (3D look, all points merged in one object, Z hue colors)
  5. One hundred of points finished (enhanced coordinate system)
  6. One hundred of lines again (3D look added)
  7. One hundred of lines again (3D look added, points visible)

Experiments with Truncated Cuboctahedron

  1. Truncated Cuboctahedron with applied Extrude effect.
  2. Truncated Cuboctahedron with applied the Punch effect.
  3. Truncated Cuboctahedron with applied the Shrink effect.
  4. Truncated Cuboctahedron with applied the Truncate effect.
  5. Truncated Cuboctahedron transformed into Lego blocks

More experiments in JavaView

  1. Waterman polyhedron again, root 6 (polyhedron crated as surface set in MuPAD and transformed in JavaView)
  2. Rhombic dodecahedron  stellated
  3. Rhombic dodecahedron with double punch effect
  4. Rhombic dodecahedron with triple punch effect
  5. Rhombic dodecahedron as glasshouse
  6. Rhombic dodecahedron pinecone shrunk in JavaView
  7. Islamic pattern (this is a very basic 2D pattern with 3D look added in JavaView).
