Virtual Models

3D Coordinate Systems

Fractal staircase

Overview

MuPAD and JavaView use slightly different approach in creating coordinate systems and using scene aspect ratio. This sometimes can lead to quite different results. The purpose of this section is to compare types of 3D coordinate systems and their major features in MuPAD and JavaView. In general many models produced in MuPAD, and converted using xvc2jvx to JavaView, can be modified to a satisfactory result. By 'satisfactory result' I mean result identical with the original MuPAD image or similar to it.

Examples

  1. Default coordinate system with constrained scaling
  2. Default coordinate system with constrained scaling and different ticks style
  3. Default coordinate system with unconstrained scaling
  4. Coordinate system with axes passing through the origin
  5. Coordinate system with axes as a frame
  6. Partial coordinate axes systems
